This article applies to: Cireson Portal, version 9.4 and above.
Here is how you can specify an AD Group for which members will see the Create On Behalf Of control on the Request Offering Form. This is configurable by going to the Admin Settings -> Self Service Portal Settings
By default the CreateOnBehalfGroup settings will be set to the same group specified as the AnalystsADGroup setting.
You have the option to keep this setting blank in which case the Create On Behalf Of control would not be visible by any Users.
There are three other options which can be used for each individual Work Item Create On Behalf of
Â
These will let admins control who can see Create On Behalf of in Change Requests, Incidents or Service Requests.
The group specified must be a group that is in SCSM and has been configured for use in the portal via one of these :
- Mapped within Support Group Mappings
- Already in use in a current role:Â Analysts, KnowledgeManager, AssetManager, LocalizationManager
- A Security Group
- A specified Team Group
- A specified Group Form
- Announcement Group
- Navigation Node Group
If you select a group that is not already mapped in the list above you will need to re-sync the cachebuilder after updating the setting.
Important Note:Â If a non-analyst user is scoped to Create On Behalf Of, they must have access to a Configuration Item group containing AD Users within an SCSM console role. By default, the out-of-box End User role does not have this permission.
Important Note: The CreateOnBehalfOfGroup settings and equivalent Work Item settings in the Setting Items page will display these settings, but have now been depreciated and will not allow for modifying these groups. Versions older than 9.4 will still be able to use these settings.
