User Guide: Add-In - Export All Grids

Add-Ins Overview

The Cireson Service Manager Portal Add-In feature is a location for pre-packaged solutions. Simply toggle a solution on, and it is active. Toggle any solution off if you no longer wish to use it. This approach allows for a streamlined, no-code approach to extensibility in the Cireson Service Manager Portal.

Note: This version of the Add-In is built and tested against version 10.2.0 of the Cireson Portal. It is recommended you are using that version or higher with this Add-In

 

Export All Grids Summary

The Export All Grids Add-In allows you to export a wide variety of grids in the portal; including the drill down grids on dashboard charts, the action log of a workitem, and related items grids such as WatchList, Related Knowledge Articles and Related Work Items. This allows you to report, view or further drill down into your data in a simple exported file.

 

Each setting for the Add-In is as follows:

Testing and Validation

  1. If experiencing issues, refer to KB Article 2568 here for overall Add-Ins troubleshooting steps
  2. Run through the Add-In’s functionality with default settings.
    1. Verify the following:
      1. In the developer console (open up a browser > dev tools > console), you see that the Export All Grids Add-In is loaded
      2. The grid contains at least 1 item
      3. When you go to a dashboard chart and you click to access a drill down chart, you see an Export button next to the Hide button
      4. When you go to a Form in the portal, you see an Export button next to the Add button on any grid with more than 1 item
  3. As you change settings, go through the above again with browser console open
    1. Verify no error messages
    2. Verify your changed settings behave as expected

 

Examples

With EnabledForFormGrids set to true, you will be able to export things like the related Work Items on a Work Item form

 

With EnabledForFormGrids set to true, you will be able to export things like the action log on a Work Item form

 

With EnabledForDashboardsGrids set to true, you will be able to export things like the drill down grid you get on this chart

 

Note: By default, all of these will be dependant on the value of the GridValue setting.
