Overview

The Cireson Asset Excel App was conceptualized to interface with our Asset Management App To make your data straightforward to manage. This App will help you to utilize the power of Excel in asset management.  It emphasizes bulk import of assets; as well as modification of administration items and warranties/contracts at the click of a button.  The search capability of this App assists you in displaying current software and hardware assets and making the required modifications.  Its asset management accelerated by the power of Excel.

Requirements

The following are the requirements to install and run Asset Excel.

  • Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10, 32-bit or 64-bit
  • Office 2013, Office 2016 or Office 365, 32-bit or 64-bit
  • .NET Framework v4.5.2
  • VSTO 2010 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=105890

Install Asset Excel app

Important Note: If you are upgrading to version 8.0+ from version 7, you must uninstall Asset Excel prior to upgrading.

To install the Cireson Asset Excel app, simply run the EXE or MSI on the client machine(s) with elevated permissions. (Right-click the EXE or MSI and select 'Run As Administrator.')

  1. Browse to the installation file and double click. Accept the end user license agreement (EULA) and click Next.
  2. On the Asset Excel Configuration screen, provide the name of the Service Manager management server to which Asset Excel should connect.
  3. {Optional} If this installation of Asset Excel is required to limit the user to read-only capability, check the Enable Read-Only Mode box, as shown in figure below.
  4. Click Next to continue.

NOTE: To change the Read-Only setting (on or off), simply uninstall, then reinstall Asset Excel.
