Reference: Admin Settings in Cireson Portal

The Admin Settings page now contains multiple sections for each corresponding portal settings. These sections can be navigated through the menu links located at the right side panel of the page as highlighted on the image below.

General Settings

This is Admin Settings landing page which contains the portal version, the management pack version, Platform Cache details and the Add-Ins version.

License Settings

This page contains all information about the portal license. In this page, users can:

  • Set to automatically refresh license. Select the "Automatically Refresh License Keys" check box and click on Save button to let the system update your license keys.
  • Manually add license key. Deselect the "Automatically Refresh License Keys" check box and retrieve your license keys manually from Cireson’s licensing server and enter them in the appropriate license boxes.
  • Manually refresh licenses. Click on the Refresh Licenses button at the page’s bottom drawer section.

Email Settings

SMTP Details

In this section you can enter in your SMTP details to enable the portal sending emails for Action Log Mentions and the Send Email task

Send Email Task

Enabling the Send Email task allows Analysts to use the Send Email task on the right hand panel in Work Items.

Action Log Mentions Notification

The Action Log Mentions Notifications allows for users (End Users or Analysts) to use the @ symbol when writing an Action Log comment to be able to ping another user and notify them of a comment. 

Turning this feature on requires either the "Enable @ mention Functionality" or the "Enable End User @ Mention Functionality" check boxes on and adding a group in the filter or turning the group filter off

Work Item Settings

This page contains all settings related to work items. In this page, users can:

  • Set the Work Item Grid Refresh interval - Work Item Tables in the Cireson Portal will be refreshed at this value
  • Restrict Create Work Item drawer access to specific AD Group.

  • New Feature (v10.5+): WorkItem Action Log Comment Auto Save (Requires the Auto Sve Action Log Comments Feature enabled in the Features settings)

Activity Settings

This page contains all settings related to activities.

In this page, users can:

  • Restrict manual activity task access to specific AD Group
  • Restrict review activity task access to specific AD Group
  • Toggle Activity Completion Settings for Review Activities and Manual Activities
  • Provide Default Templates for adding new Activities to Work Items

Group Settings

  • Assign forms to specific AD Groups

Note: Trackback sessions (Cireson Portal Integration) requires Remote Support version 5.8.0 or higher

Dynamic Data

Dynamic Data is a run time compiled cache that builds your Platform Cache models based on the data structure of your SCSM database environment.  This compilation is limited to Service Manger managed types and custom managed types.  Using the Dynamic Data setting you can customize what manage types get cached in the Platform Cache.

In this page you can opt in or out of allowing Cireson to gather non-identifiable data to help improve the Cireson Portal
